- Research grant from Nuffic-NICHE BGD 155 project to conduct research on "Scenario development and vulnerability analysis along central coastal zone of Bangladesh". (March 2016 to February 2017)
- Sabbatical leave grant from BUET to conduct research for the period of September 2013 to August 2014.
- Awarded research grant to conduct the research on Development of an Assessment System to Evaluate the Ecological Status of Rivers in the Hindu Kush-Himalayan Region supported by European Commission for the period of December 2005 to March 2008. (ASSESS-HKH; Contract Number INCO-CT-2005-003659).
- Awarded Hori Information Science Promotion Foundation, Aichi , Japan Research Grant for Doctoral Research. (April 2004- March 2005).
